Mission, Goals & Vision of Shakespeare Northwest and the Skagit River Shakespeare Festival

Mission

Shakespeare Northwest (SNW) is dedicated to presenting dramatic productions of high professional quality and is primarily focused on the works of William Shakespeare.

Artistic goals

SNW will make constant efforts to enhance the artistic quality of its productions and to improve the physical environment within which the productions are presented to the public.

SNW will strive to offer opportunities for aspiring directors, actors and supporting theatre personnel as well as for their established professional counterparts, through its annual Skagit River Shakespeare Festival.

SNW will encourage and sponsor productions of other dramatic works.

Vision

Through outreach and educational activities, SNW will foster the development and appreciation of quality theatre and of Shakespeare's works and times among students, teachers, actors, and other potential audiences.
