Mission Statement:
The mission of the Seagoville Public Library is to improve the quality of life for residents of the City of Seagoville, and residents of the adjacent counties of Dallas and Kaufman, which it serves.

In keeping with this mission, the goals of the Seagoville Public Library are:

To serve the community as a center of reliable information.

To offer a broad and diverse range of resources to entertain and enlighten.

To initiate activities which will encourage the most effective use of these selected materials.

To cooperate with educational, civic, and cultural groups and organizations whose aims are compatible with those of the library.

To provide opportunity and encouragement for men, women, children and young people to educate themselves continuously.

To facilitate universal, life-long education for the general reader.

To demonstrate professional leadership in designing, developing and managing library collections, systems and services.
