We are a not-for-profit educational corporation, founded in 1978, and permanently chartered by the Board of Regents of New York State. We do not offer “traditional” museum exhibits at our headquarters, but about 68,000 people enjoy our traveling programs each year.

Our 25-year-old museum is the only all-traveling museum; we bring our movable feast to you. We take hands-on exhibits anywhere within 50 miles of Scotia, in New York State’s 12 county Capital Region. We offer about 60 programs in science, local history and the arts, and special Programs for older adults at meal sites and nursing homes.
