About Us

Founded by the community members of Cobb’s Creek and Haddington neighborhoods, the Sayre High School and the University of Pennsylvania, the Sayre Health Center is a 501(c)3 corporation that provides clinical services and health and professional education for high school, undergraduate and graduate students in health care.  The corporation was founded to operate a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in the Sayre High School in West Philadelphia.  In its founding and governance, the SHC is a cooperative effort between Penn, the Sayre High School and the West Philadelphia community surrounding the school (58th and Walnut) including students, their families and community members of all ages.
