The San Marcos Farmers' Market is one of three markets in San Diego County sponsored and managed by the San Diego County Farm Bureau. The Farm Bureau is a non-profit organization that serves as a voice for San Diego farmers. Farm Bureau is an advocacy group for agriculture as an industry in San Diego. Farm Bureau's mission has not changed since its formation in San Diego in 1914: To represent San Diego agriculture through public relations, education, and public policy advocacy in order to promote the economic viability of agriculture balanced with appropriate management of natural resources.
