Sammy Baugh Golf Course

The Sammy Baugh Golf Course and Pro Shop are located on the campus of Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas. The 9-hole facility includes a 300 yard driving range, chipping hole and putting green and is perennially ranked in the Top 10 in Texas for the best 9 hole courses by The Dallas Morning News.

The course is maintained by instructors and students of the Golf Course & Landscape Technology Program, a nationally-recognized Career and Technical Program at WTC.

The course was named for "Slingin'" Sammy Baugh, legendary collegiate and professional football Hall of Fame player from the 1930s to the 1950s, first at TCU and later with the Washington Redskins. Mr. Baugh was an active member and local celebrity at the WTC links.
