About Us:
Saint Joseph Health System is a central Kentucky's largest health care provider. More than 130 years ago, the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth planted strong roots in Lexington and began a ministry of healing that we continue today as a member of Catholic Health Initiatives , one of the largest health care delivery systems in the nation. Fundamentally, we are inspired by the work of our founding sisters and their healing ministry. It's a legacy that we intend to continue on a daily basis.

Our eight facilities, Saint Joseph - Berea, Saint Joseph East, Saint Joseph Hospital, Saint Joseph - Jessamine, Saint Joseph - London, Saint Joseph - Martin, Saint Joseph - Mount Sterling and Flaget Memorial Hospital provide care to more patients every year than any other hospital in the area. The tremendous work by our employees, physicians and volunteers has garnered countless awards for quality and patient satisfaction. But we do not intend to rest on these laurels.
