Saint Andrews Mardi Gras Festival

1161 Bayview Avenue
Panama City, FL 32401

The St. Andrews Mardi Gras had its beginnings in 1997, when Bay County’s first Mardi Gras Krewe, the Krewe of Dominique Youx, approached the Community of St. Andrews with the idea of relocating its annual parade from Bay Point to St. Andrews. This was a “dream” turned “reality” for a revitalization event as defined in the completed St. Andrews Visioning Project, and so began the work of the citizens of St. Andrews to make the St. Andrews Mardi Gras the success it is today.

As enthusiasm grew so did the plans, and the St. Andrews citizens soon formed their own Krewe, now proudly known as the Krewe of St. Andrews, the Krewe now has over 180 members from all over Bay County.

The Krewe of St. Andrews has always focused on the community and family. This is reflected in the abundance of family-oriented activities such as Kids/Pet Parade, Main Parade, Kids Ball, Golf Tournament, Drawdown, Bunko and many more . The overall atmosphere of the Festival and Parade is to attract fun-loving people of all ages.

The Krewe of St. Andrews gives back to the community by contributing to several local charities and to local colleges in scholarships. The Krewe has donated over $50,000.00 to many charities over the years. This is just a few:

Sunrise Community, Second Chance, Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Club, Margaret K. Lewis School, Girls, Inc., Sims Veterans Home, Haney Technical Center, Florida State University Panama City, and Gulf Coast State College. This money was raised through several fundraisers hosted by the Krewe of St Andrews.
