Sacramento River Discovery Center

Vision / Mission:

Established in 1996, the Sacramento River Discovery Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit whose staff, volunteers and partners work together to provide natural resource based education, by working with businesses and local and regional environments in a collaborative endeavor.

The Sacramento River Discovery Center uses educational displays and exhibits, hands-on instructional programs, watershed rehabilitation opportunities and other means to enhance the public’s understanding, appreciation, wise use, and stewardship of natural resources that make up the Sacramento River watershed.

Forty-eight education, government, and private groups originally provided the foundation for the synergy of this effort.
