About:
RotaCare Free Health Clinics have been in existence since 1989. A local Rotary Club in Santa Clara, California built the first clinic.
RotaCare is a coalition of Rotarians, Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Medical Technicians, Social Workers, Translators, Clerical Workers, and other volunteers who provide free medical care in a collaborative effort with hospitals, clinics, community service organizations and service groups. Through a "Pro Bono" specialty referral network, patients are referred for consultation or continued care to local medical providers as needed.
Each clinic is run entirely by volunteers and an Administrative Council that oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
RotaCare® is a 501(C)3 Non-Profit Corporation and is licensed to operate in Washington, California and New York. Malpractice and other insurance cover the medical volunteers and the operation of the clinics.
