Located in Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay, California, is an abandoned pier known as Romeo Pier. Joe Romeo, the father of Frank Romeo, built it in 1940 for the A. Romeo Fish Company. The fish company bought directly from fishermen for his fish market, which supplied hotels and restaurants in the San Francisco bay area.
