Transformed in 1958 from a farm into a public golf course, Rolling Green is the oldest public golf course in Washington County, Pennsylvania. The debut was a success and in the early 1960's a second nine was added. Although many of the holes were rearranged to accommodate this second nine, holes #1 and 9, although updated, are to this day still part of the original 9 hole layout. In the mid 1960's the game of golf was changed forever as motorized carts became more reliable and popular.
