Rockin Taco Street Fest

It all started in a Chandler parking lot. Eight years ago, a Mexican Independence Day Fiesta was born. With a focus on creating a fun and flavorful cultural celebration for loyal guests of the now closed, El Palacio Restaurant & Cantina of Chandler, the festival drew just over 200 guests out for tacos, entertainment and good times. In the three years that followed, the event grew in leaps and bounds, the name changed to Rockin’ Taco Street Fest – the public had spoken: more tacos, more beer, more fun times. By year four, the festivities had outgrown the small parking lot space at Gilbert & Germann Rd. As we headed into year five, it was time to find a new permanent location for one of Arizona’s fastest growing festivals. Dr. AJ Chandler Park in Downtown Chandler was the perfect location with its large event space located right in the heart of downtown. The extra space to spread out meant more people, more taco restaurants, more entertainment, games and activities.
