Ridgway Park is a haven for dog lovers! The newly renovated dog park area offers over an acre of secure area for dog owners to come and let their pets run off leash. There is covered and open seating within the enclosures for the comfort of owners enjoying the park with their pet friends and a covered shelter outside for those who wish to enjoy the view of the surrounding natural waterways. Both the small dog enclosure and the all dog enclosure are ADA accessible and have water fountains for both pets and people.Â
Bark Park patrons must register their dogs with Parks and Recreation prior to bringing their pet to the park. Registration costs $10.00 per year, per dog for unlimited use of the park. All dogs must be current on vaccinations and have a city license. A complete list of dog owner guidelines is provided when you register at either of the locations listed.
Ridgway Park is surrounded by both natural tidal waterway and a fresh water pond. Patrons can observe many species of waterfowl and marine creatures in their natural habitat. As stewards of the environment, everyone is reminded to keep the "wild" in "wildlife" and not feed the ducks and geese that call Ridgway Park home.
Ridgway Park and the Hampton Bark Park are open to the public from 7:00 am until sunset every day.
