In 1997, Helen LaKelly Hunt founded Regalos de Abiquiu with a dream of providing an economic development opportunity in the Abiquiu community, particularly for women, by offering instruction in micaceous pottery-making. Regalos de Abiquiu was thus born, and thrives to this day in the heart of Abiquiu, its focus expanding to honor the creative spirit of northern New Mexico by offering pottery, paintings, weavings, drums, jewelry, and other unique works all by local artists.

Regalos de Abiquiu is an expression of the diversity of cultures and traditions of northern New Mexico, and also provides a glimpse of contemporary influences in the art of our community. We are proud to introduce you to our artists and their extraordinary talents.
