The Red Oaks Nature Center is part of Red Oaks County Park which also includes a golf course, waterpark, dog park and soccer complex. Nestled in a unique 38-acre oasis of rich natural habitat in the midst of a thriving urban area, the nature center’s 2,400 square-foot log cabin building features seasonal displays in a cozy atmosphere. In keeping with Oakland County Parks and Recreation’s comprehensive nature education philosophy, the Red Oaks Nature Center hosts myriad public programs facilitated by trained naturalists and volunteers. The nature center also offers Nature interpretive programs, exhibits including live native animals, an auditorium/large classroom and meeting areas and a deck leading to a paved nature trail
