Red Lodge Songwriter Festival

The Red Lodge Songwriter Festival is an opportunity for seasoned and aspiring songwriters from all over the country to have their songs heard, and for music fans to learn the stories behind the lyrics and melodies that only the song’s writer can express.

Multiple festival stages are filled with songwriters, playing and performing their original songs. The festival is a great way to connect with singer-songwriters who have written your favorite songs and hear some of the best songs ever written that you’ve never heard before. These intimate in-the-round acoustic performances will feature three to six songwriters swapping songs and telling the stories behind them. 

Over the three days of the Red Lodge Songwriter festival, twenty five songwriters will perform in twenty five shows in eight unique venues, bars, restaurants, theaters, and performance halls.

The festival benefits the Rocky Mountain Songwriter Festivals Inc, which is dedicated to encouraging the creation, performance, and education of music in our local Montana and Wyoming communities through scholarships, and grants.
