Mission Statement:

Five Rivers Historic Preservation, Inc. is a non-profit corporation with the purpose of establishing and operating the Randolph County Heritage Museum on the Historic Pocahontas Court Square. The museum will be available and accessible to all citizens and will provide exhibits which preserve and display our county's history and cultural heritage. It will house artifacts, archives and organizations dedicated to our community's history. It will be a place for research, educational programs and civic activities, as well as attracting tourism for our area.

A major focus of the museum will be our county's significance in the development of Arkansas and the Southwest. Because of this, the museum will have more than local appeal and will be of interest to those exploring the early migration of Americans across this country.

The museum will provide learning experiences in the form of history tours of the city and county, lectures, programs and exhibits about our county's history, partnerships with the schools to provide educational programs and a variety of other cultural and historical activities. All events will be accessible to the public and will serve to inform and instill interest in our citizens about their past.

The Museum will be the jewel of tourism for the city and county. It will partner with other sites of interest and direct visitors to them. It will provide a site of major interest to the public on our historic court square. This will help to revitalize businesses on the square with the increased numbers of visitors to the square.
