Prince George's Audubon Society

Welcome to the home page of the Prince George's Audubon Society (PGAS), a local chapter of the National Audubon Society serving Audubon members in the northern part of Prince George's County, Maryland.  PGAS was established in 1972 as a non-profit organization with officers and a board of directors, all volunteers, elected by the general membership.  Membership in PGAS is obtained through the National Audubon Society.  PGAS members receive our chaper newsletter, The Bluebird, and are encouraged to actively participate in chapter activities including a monthly speaker series, bird walks, field trips, annual bird counts, and other special events.

This website is for members of PGAS to keep up to date on program and field trip schedules and other chapter activities.  In addition, this website serves as a resource for non-members to find out more about Audubon and PGAS and to explore the benefits of membership.  Non-members are welcome to participate in our meetings and field trips and are free to take advantage of the local birding and environmental information on this website as well as the links to a wide range of related information available on the internet.
