Originally founded in 1973 at Autauga County High School, Prattville Theatre has been producing quality shows at Prattville High School every year since the Fall of 1995. We are an aggressive and active program, producing 4+ Mainstage Shows, 4 Advanced Theatre Showcases, and up to 10 Improv Nights each season. We produce original works, Shakespeare, Broadway Musicals, student-directed pieces, and more. We also compete in the annual Trumbauer Theatre Festival and attend shows around the State and beyond.

As a program, we preach an aggressive, committed, practical, hard-working style of theatre that puts its test in the audience. We do not make art for art's sake- we work to make ourselves better and to serve our audiences in every way we can. We reject the notion that we are "just a high-school program," and seek to push ourselves to the highest level of professionalism and excellence that we can.

So give us a chance! We believe that you'll be glad you did. We have a pretty good idea what you think we are, and we'd like the chance to prove you wrong. As we like to say, we are in the business of exceeding expectations, and business is good!

STUDENTS - We are always eager to welcome new faces into the program, and if you are interested in joining us, we invite you to do so through auditioning, volunteering, or simply showing up to a Club Meeting. Keep in mind that we are a blue-collar organization, and are allergic to "Drama." If you come ready to work, with the right attitude, chances are we'll find a place for you.
