I started home brewing with my brother in 1991. My mother is from England so we went over to visit relatives with our family. My mom's dad home brewed in his back yard for 40 years and it inspired my brother and I to dive straight into all grain 10 gal. batches. In 1993 I got a tour at Saxer Brewing Co. I met the brewmaster Tony Gomes and I gave him some home brew and he was impressed. I got called in and he decided to hire me! Â He has a five year Brewmasters degree from Domins in Munich Germany. So, I worked with him for 6 years as brewer and cellar man. We sat in the morning for 30-45 minutes a day and he taught me the science of brewing.
