About Us

The Plumas County Museum Association, Inc., formed in 1971, is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, private, membership sponsored non-profit society dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting the history of Plumas County through the Plumas County Museum. It is governed by a membership elected seven member Board of Trustees.

The museum association owns and maintains the 1878 Coburn-Variel Home as well as the 1859 Goodwin Law Office, the oldest continually used law office in the State of California.

Hours:

Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. As of May 4, 2014, we are now open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (call to confirm).  Closed Monday and holidays.

Admission: $2 Adults, $1 ages 12-17,

Free under 12 and museum members.
