The Plainfield Curling Club (PCC) was founded in 1963 and is the only curling club active with its own indoor ice facility in New Jersey.  For the first three years, the PCC operated on rented ice, even curling outdoors for one season. In 1966-67, the current structure was built.  The PCC was planned, designed, and financed by the members, who also did much of the actual construction themselves.  The PCC is a not-for-profit organization, and continues to be member-owned; it is operated and maintained by members’ dues and members’ efforts.  The PCC is governed by a 9-member Board of Directors, from which the officers of the PCC are elected (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary).

Our curling season runs approximately from November to April, during which members can choose to participate in regularly scheduled weeknight and weekend leagues. The PCC also hosts various in-house bonspiels (curling tournament, usually lasting over a weekend) over the course of the season. We provide all the necessary equipment. However, many members elect to purchase their own shoes and brooms.
