Mission:

The Pittsburg Public Library provides free access to ideas, materials and services that support the cultural, educational and recreational enrichment of the community.

Vision:

The Pittsburg Public Library will be a cultural, intellectual and social center of the community, providing support for reading and information literacy, continually adapting its collections, services and facility in response to the changes in cultural, educational and recreational needs of Pittsburg.

Goals:

- Staff will constantly strive to improve our skills and the way we operate, in order to offer exemplary service to all patrons.
- The Library will provide the collection, programs and services to satisfy community cultural, educational and recreational needs for all ages.
- The Library will provide formal and informal instruction for all ages, in locating, evaluating and using information resources of all types.
