Pine Creek Farm

994 N Meridian Rd
Newton, KS 67114

In 1970, Lloyd and Marlene Schroeder planted 1,000 Scotch Pine seedlings and started the business they later named Pine Creek Farm.  Together they developed and remained active in their enterprise until Marlene’s death in 2007 and Lloyd’s in 2013.

Today the Schroeders’ daughter, Ardie, and her husband, Wynn Goering, are the owners and proprietors of Pine Creek Farm.  We plant approximately 1,200 trees annually to grow 6,000 – 7,000 trees on 12 acres of land.

Pine Creek Farm is primarily a “choose-and-cut” operation.  Customers are provided with a map, a hand saw, and any help they might need to find and cut down a Scotch or Austrian pine to take home.  (Don’t worry – we’ll help you load it up!)  Pre-cut Fraser Fir trees from Minnesota are also available.

Beautiful and whimsical yard ornaments, a Candy Cane Tree Maze for children, and hot coffee or cold cherry cider for everyone, are additional features of every visit to Pine Creek Farm.  Come and enjoy!
