Pianetta Winery is family owned and operated by John Pianetta Jr. located in Southern Monterey County near Paso Robles on the eastern slopes of Indian Valley. . For several generations the Pianetta family has been farming in California, and has since developed an estate vineyard. After much encouragement, a small winery was established to identify the quality of grapes from the vineyard. The traditional growing and winemaking approach at Pianetta focus' on intense flavor and quality.

The 65 acre vineyard sits on the hillsides of Indian Valley, in southern Monterey County. Warm Days and Cool Nights make this ranch a superb location for Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes.

Pianetta Winery's first vintage was a 2002 Estate Cabernet at a quantity of 370 cases. The current production at Pianetta is about 2500 cases total and has expanded to include Estate Syrah, Sangiovese, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Barbera and some unique blends. All the wines are produced on site and in limited quantities.
