About Us:

PHILLIPS ORCHARDS & CIDER MILL is a sixth generation family farm owned and operated by the Phillips family for over 156 years. The farm was started in 1852 by Parmer Robert Phillips and passed on through the generations to James Hice Phillips, Austin James Phillips, and Parmer Raymond Phillips. The farm is now owned by Mary E. Phillips, the widow of the late Parmer Raymond Phillips, and is being operated by their son Dennis AJ Phillips and his son Brian Mark Phillips along with partner Gregg Smyth. The orchard has evolved over the past 158 years with its current focus being the Orchard Market & Cider Mill, Gatehouse Market, and select farmers markets. The apple orchard is now approximately 30 acres consisting of 26 apple varieties. In 2008 we commenced our new peach and pear orchards with plantings of seven varieties of peaches and two varieties of pears. New plantings of peach and pear trees in 2010 will continue the growth of these orchards. We also raise pumpkins, corn, squash, gourds, melons, potatoes, cut flowers, and tomatoes on our 170 acre farm.
