About Us:

The Pendergrass Public Library has been around for a number of years. Originally, it started out as a book deposit library. It was small with very few books and was maintained by the city clerk and volunteers for approximately four hours per week. It was located in a small facility across from the train depot on Smith Bridges Road. In the early 1990's the library began to do community programs, such as the Children's Summer Reading Program. Progressively, the library began to extend its hours and services. In February 2003, the library moved to a new facility at 41 Blackberry Lane, which is a historic house in the heart of the community. In 2005 the Pendergrass Public Library became a full service outlet library. It is a member of the Piedmont Regional Library System and uses the PINES circulation system. The library currently has many children's programs and story times throughout the year. The library continues to grow and thrive.
