About Us:

Pawnee Public Library is the centrally located facility that serves the 2,750 residents of Pawnee, Illinois. Our collection contains over 50,000 volumes and circulates over 18,000 items per year. The library also loans audio books, AR reading series, videos and music CDs. PPL subscribes to a wide range of magazines, as well as local and nationwide newspapers. Genealogy research is enhanced with the use of two microfilm machines and an extensive collection of the Pawnee Post Newspaper on microfilm. Various local historical photos, publications, coal mine maps and resources are available to our patrons.
