A Brief History of the Pandora-Riley Branch Library:

Library substation was operated in the Hilty Drug Store in Pandora between the years of 1939-1953. In 1953, the book mobile began service to Pandora. This service lasted until June 14, 1986. In September of 1985, the drive to establish a branch of the Putnam County District Library was began. Jim Baxter and Bob Reese took leading roles in the Endeavour.

The Pandora-Riley Branch of the Putnam County District Library opened for the patrons on Tuesday, May 17, 1986. The branch library's first librarian was Anne Schroeder.
