Pack Memorial is the largest library, with more than 150,000 items available for perusal and check out, including books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs, research materials and databases for all ages. Internet access, free Wi-Fi, word processing, and photocopy services are also available.
The Sondley Reference Department provides research materials ranging from investment reports, literary criticism and consumer information to homework help. The North Carolina Collection features local history and genealogy resources, while the Thomas Wolfe Collection honors Asheville's favorite son.
