About Us:
P339 was founded in Janurary 2012. Initially shared with branding and design company CPNY Creatives, P339 hosted a wide range of events and exhibitions. Previous art exhibitions featured photography, mixed media sculpture, paintings, drawings, and sewing. The space has also seen collaborative branding/art events as well as holiday and summer pop-up shops, exposing talents from Williamsburg, India, Laos, and South Korea.
Because of CPNY’s South Korean roots, P339 has had the amazing opportunity to introduce South Korean artists to New York. We have held several exhibitions of Traditional Korean Painting, as well as experimental artwork from young South Korean artists.
In January of 2015 P339 changed course to focus more exclusively in art, beginning with a series of four shows of African American Folk Art, curated by Diego Cortez.
