Oak Shade Farm

We are a 23-acre, family owned and operated farm in the Virginia Piedmont, at the northern end of Culpeper County. Christmas trees are our main product, but we also tend several garden plots, an apiary, many shiitake mushroom logs, laying hens, and native plants. We use no herbicides or pesticides in growing our produce our fertilizers are organic and our weeds and invertebrates are prolific.  In addition to doing agricultural work, a few of us are artists or practice a craft, like weaving, rug-hooking or blacksmithing.

We have a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge to the west, with many sitting areas and picnic tables around the property. We maintain a walking path that loops through our beautiful woods, with informational signs at points of interest along the way. We built our farm to be visited, but we also work hard to maintain the seclusion and tranquility that was here before us.

We are small, but many-faceted, with lots to see and do. Bundle up, bring your family and join us around our bonfire sometime this holiday season.
