Oak Run Community Library

Oak Run is located in northern California, about 20 plus miles east of Redding. Our small tight-knit community is big on volunteerism. Our Library stays open about 20 hours a week through the tireless efforts of the volunteers.Our Library Thrift shop sells excess books and donated items and those proceeds pay for the electricity, insurance and basic operational needs. The Library is soley supported by the continuing generosity of our community. There is no 'outside help', there’s just the Volunteers and the Community.  To help meet the annual financial needs of operating the Library, and to generate funds towards a new library, our volunteers hold two yard sales, one in June and another in October. These two major fundraisers are vital to the continuance of the Library.
