Oak Hollow is fortunate to have many of the unique characteristics of a Pete Dye design. Railroad ties, pot bunkers, several peninsula greens and even an island tee make up a bevy of Pete Dye design features. However our small, undulating greens serve as our most recognizable Dye trademark.

The signature hole is the 420-yard, par-4 sixth, a dogleg left around the lapping waters of the lake. An island tee box at the tips offers an air-gulping challenge for the brave. The rest of the golfers can bite off as much of the dogleg as they feel they can chew. It's a well-earned par.

The second hole, a short par five, is another example of Pete Dyes risk/reward style. At 456 yards from the mixed tees, it invites a golfer to go for the green in two. It's an easy par-5 if the golfer lays up to the left of the long, narrow green, but almost everyone goes for it in two. Long hitters who can get a short iron in their hands for the approach shot have a distinct advantage. Anyone attacking the green with a 5-iron or more is leaning heavily on luck because the green isn't really designed to take such a shot and the ball often rolls off to set up some very difficult chip shots.

The 11th hole, a 437-yard par-4, may be the toughest hole on the course, as it demands a perfectly placed tee shot. A three-tiered green along the waters edge also adds to the difficulty of this challenging hole.

The 15th hole is a par-5 with a roller-coaster fairway and sharp dogleg left. For a chance to get home in two requires a long, well placed tee shot. The second shot has to avoid the deep ravine just to the left side of the elevated green. A well placed lay up gives you a level approach of about a hundred yards to this small bunkered green.

Finally, the 18th hole is another par-4 that peaks out at 448 yards and is a strong finishing hole. Not only is a long tee shot required, but also the second is a difficult all-carry long iron to a narrow green.

Oak Hollow Golf Course is a challenging, scenic layout that will test all your golfing skills. We hope that its beauty and superb conditions will make your experience a memorable one.
