About Us :
Northfield Hospital is a 37-bed hospital located in a vibrant, college town of 17,000. It sits on the southern edge of a major metropolitan area that includes Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Northfield Hospital and its attached long-term care center are owned by the city and serve approximately 80,000 area residents who live in Rice, Dakota, Scott and Goodhue counties. The hospital's governing board, the Board of Trustees, is appointed by the mayor and approved by the City Council.

Northfield Hospital provides a wide range of health care services from emergency services to home care. Our 450 employees offer emergency services, including an emergency room with round the clock physician staffing; critical care; birthing services; a full complement of skilled surgeons; high-tech diagnostic imaging; comprehensive rehabilitation services; chemotherapy; home care and hospice.

It is currently the anchor of a new integrated health campus, which will include facilities for a primary care clinic and specialized facilities for cardiology, oncology and accommodations for visiting specialists. Northfield Hospital is developing a regional network of FamilyHealth primary care clinics.The first opened in Lonsdale in November of 2005. Ground has been broken on a Farmington clinic due to open in early 2007 and a Lakeville clinic scheduled to open later in 2007.
