The library has been successful in a grant application from the National Endowment for the Humanities. The Library will shortly receive the "We the People Bookshelf" on Becoming American. This is a set of materials that reveals the many varied influences that have shaped our nations history and culture. These classics also provide another powerful lesson: that there are traits and values shared by all those who, by birth or choice, became American.
