Serving Delta residents since 1909, the Courtland Library has long been a beloved community treasure. Once housed in a resident’s living room and then later at the local post office, we are now located on the grounds of Bates Elementary School.

These services are made possible by the tremendous support from the community as well as the Friends of the Nonie Wetzel Courtland Library. As a testament to their passion and commitment, a Courtland volunteer group led by library activist and volunteer Nonie Wetzel, kept the facility open by operating the library from 1993-2003. The Friends of the Nonie Wetzel Courtland Library continue to provide volunteer service and pursue fundraising efforts including a book sale at the annual Pear Fair.
