Newburg Branch Library

4800 Exeter Avenue
Louisville, KY 40218

History:

Newburg is a community of businesses, homes, social and civic organizations, churches and schools, but the residents are its greatest asset. The dream of building a library in Newburg became a reality in August 2009. The Newburg Library is the first new public library to open in Louisville in 13 years and building this library has been a community effort. The Library Foundation has contributed a half-million dollars to Newburg, providing furniture, books and technology. In addition, Newburg residents and Friends groups from across Louisville have donated time, money, and books to open the doors of the library to the public.
