NEW Zoo & Adventure Park

Mission:

 Your NEW Zoo is an always new natural adventure that promotes recreation, education, and conservation through encounters with live animals.

    - Recreation: Provide entertaining and rewarding family recreation.
    - Education: Provide well-planned exhibits with an interpretive program which encourages a greater appreciation of the living world.
    - Conservation: Provide for the propagation of selected endangered species to help ensure their survival.

Our Future

2017 Strategic & Master Plan

In January 2017, the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park released a brand new Master Plan after a six-month collaborative planning process.

This Master Plan represents the collaborative effort to develop a plan that fully assesses existing land use for the Zoo, Adventure Park, and the surrounding Brown County Reforestation Camp, while also establishing future goals and strategies to achieve these goals over the next 10 to 20 years.  It is our intent to not only improve guest experience and operational activities, but to establish the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park as the preeminent regional destination for adventure.

Zoo Hours & Admission

Your NEW Zoo is open 365 days per year!  Our hours vary seasonally, as described below.

Spring Hours

April 1st through May 31st:  Daily 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Summer Hours

June 1st through August 31st: Daily 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Fall Hours

September 1st through October 31st: Daily 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Winter Hours

November 1st through March 31st:  Daily 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The NEW Zoo hours of operation MAY vary, depending on  Special Events. Please visit our Events page for details.

*The Adventure Park (Ropes Challenge Course, Zip Line, and Climbing Wall) Opens April, 1st.  The Adventure Park will be open to the public on weekends in Spring.

April 1st -May 31st: 10am-6pm, Open on weekends(Sat. & Sun.)

Last tour departs at 5pm

Large groups(10+) can book reservations during the week(see below)

Summer Hours:

June 1st – August 31st: 10am-6pm, Open daily(7 days a week)

Last tour departs at 6pm

Large groups(10+) can book reservations anytime(see below)

Fall Hours:

Sept. 1st – Oct. 31st: 10am-6pm, Open on weekends(Sat. & Sun.)

Last tour departs at 5pm

Large groups(10+) can book reservations during the week(see below)

Winter Hours:

Oct. 31st – April 1st: Closed
