New Haven Land Trust engages people in stewardship and cultivation of the land for a healthier community and environment.
We achieve this through:
We maintain six preserves comprising almost 80 acres that contain a variety of habitats, including tidal wetlands, coastal upland forest and grassland, traprock ridge, riparian forest and fresh water wetlands.
We provide land, technical assistance and supplies for nearly 50 community vegetable gardens.
We offer educational programs about the environment, nature, land and gardening.
The New Haven Land Trust is supported by The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, the City of New Haven, and many other foundations, grants and individual donors.
The New Haven Land Trust is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible. You can view our financials including our IRS form 990s on the reports and finances page.
