Moweaqua Golf Course

Moweaqua golf course opened in 1993, but the land was purchased in 1991.  The course started out as a simple, but challenging, nine hole course.  In 2000 the the Village of Moweaqua purchased land that bordered the course to the west and in 2003 the back nine was built.  Golfers now have an 18 hole layout.  The course is kept in great shape by course superintendent Jeff Stauder, and his staff.  The original course that opened in 1993 is the current front nine; the layout has stayed the same, but the hole sequence has changed. See the chart below to get an idea of the changes.  In 2012, the course changed the front and back nines, making the back nine the front nine, and making the front nine the back nine.
