Discovery Park is the official Visitor Center for Mount Graham International Observatory. Among the highlights is the 20-inch reflecting telescope in the Gov Aker Observatory. Tours to the 10,500 foot observatory can also be reserved.MGIO is a division of   Steward Observatory  , the research arm for the Department of Astronomy at the   University of Arizona . Scientific researchers from around the world make use of the MGIO facilities. We serve this community, operating and maintaining facilities at the remote observing site located in the Pinaleño Mountains in southeast Arizona.
