Why Hazelnuts?

The history of the Hazelnut in the Willamette Valley of Oregon dates back to the settlement of the valley by early French settlers.  Today, more than 600 growers are located in the Willamette Valley – the prime growing region for hazelnuts in the United States.

Mt. Angel, Oregon is a wonderful place to visit! Nestled between farmland and foothills, Mt. Angel is located 18 miles northeast of Salem on Highway 214. This little town, founded in the late 1800s by German settlers, has an Old World flavor which is heightened by the many Bavarian-style storefronts and signage.
