Open: Year Round
In 2000, Tommy and Amie Baudoin decided to chase their dreams. They put their ideas into action as they began the extensive project of developing the beautiful 33 acres of beautiful farmland that was left to her by her father. Just over the Cabarrus County line in Rowan county, the Baudoin duo began their journey. They learned the vineyard business from the ground up, taking advantage of every learning opportunity they received. After nearly ten years of hard work, Morgan Ridge wine was officially ready for sale.
The devoted owners and operators currently produce about 1500 cases of wine per year, while hosting events such as wine tastings, dinners, lunches, and special private events. The couple's restaurant background has also shown through in the amazing full service kitchen and catering service on site, making Morgan Ridge the perfect site for any occasion. One specific reason people love scheduling their events with Morgan Ridge is the simplistic yet beautiful views of the Uwharrie mountains and peaceful surroundings of the property itself, including the private pond, natural fountain, and spacious tasting room.
The vineyard recently received 2012 NC Winegrowers Excellence Award out of 450 vineyards presented by the NC Winegrowers Association.
