Monterey Public Library

401 East Commerical Avenue
Monterey, TN 38574

Located originally in a small room in the Monterey Community Center, volunteers were the first employees of the Monterey Library. In order to accommodate the needs of the community as well as a growing collection of books, the new Monterey Branch Library building was constructed and opened in 1997.

In 2003 we started planning the design and cost estimates for an expansion to the building which will include a children's room and meeting room. As with the original library construction, the funding for the expansion will be a community effort.
