About Us:

Montclair Stables is owned and operated by Joe Conoscienti and Nicky Buckingham. Nicky oversees the day to day running of the barn and is available on a daily basis to answer questions and ensure that all the horses are given the highest quality of care.

Nicky has been involved with horses all her life and has a wealth of experience both competing and in stable management. She also enjoys teaching both adults and children, in dressage and jumping. Over the last several years, Nicky has trained with Nick Larkin and taken clinics from Ralph Hill.  She currently clinics on aegular basis with Ian Stark (five time Olympian from Great Britain).  Nicky competes through out the year at USEA recognized horse trials. She is currently the top master level rider.  She is a registered USEA ICP candidate and hopes to complete her ICP assessment in the next year.

As well as teaching and training Nicky is involved in helping clients find suitable equine partners. Montclair Stables always has a good selection of proven and prospective event horses for sale and Nicky has many contacts throughout the U.S. and Europe. Montclair Stables is very much a work in progress, as we are continually making improvements to the facility. We like to think of our boarders and students as friends instead of clients and we strive to provide a safe and friendly atmosphere in which people can learn and enjoy their horses.
