Monongahela Valley Hospital (MVH) is a 200-bed, full-service health care facility with a 225-member medical staff representing more than 40 medical specialties.
History
The 100th anniversary was celebrated in December 2002. The health care system traces its heritage to the turn of the century when its predecessor facilities, Charleroi-Monessen Hospital and Memorial Hospital of Monongahela, were founded. The two hospitals consolidated on July 1, 1972, forming what is now Monongahela Valley Hospital. The current facility in Carroll Township opened in September 1978.
