The Monona County Fair Assosiation was formed in 1904 for the purpose of providing a place to hold an annual agricultural fair to encourage the improvement of agricultural products, livestock, articles of domestic industry, implements and other mechanical devices and to award such premiums as will induce competition and provide a place for the youth of Monona County to develop their skills and talents.

Our vision is to provide a financial sound, well managed Fair in a fully maintained fairground with interim programs designed to serve Monona County and area residents. The fair is to provide a venue for those participants in 4-H, FFA, other youth groups and and residents to display their completed projects to be evaluated by well qualified judges. Thes projects will be given awards as merited and displayed in a professional manner for all fair attendees to enjoy. The will be held in a safe pleasant facility that provides venues appropriate to the project presented. Key components to the fair are education and promotion of agricultural programs lacated with Monona County.

It is the goal of the Monona County Fair to include as many residents of Monona County from as diversified backgrounds as possible to provide an opportunity for those fairgoers to experience the full spectrum of exibits and activities that are part of the fair.
