Mobile Health Outreach Ministry

For the first time, St. Vincent’s HealthCare is proud to receive the Sapphire Award from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSF) Foundation. The Sapphire Awards recognizes excellence and innovation among organizations, programs and individuals that have made a significant positive impact on health-related outcomes for Florida’s at-risk people and communities. The awards honor outstanding individuals, programs and nonprofit organizations in community healthcare or healthcare related fields, whose work is distinguished by leadership, innovation and achievements in community health.

St. Vincent’s Mobile Health Outreach Ministry (MHOM) began in 1991 providing acute and preventive medical care to those who are medically underserved in Northeast Florida, by bringing fully staffed doctors-offices-on-wheels to the neighborhoods where its services are needed most.
